My Confidence Realizations

(source)
Realize that no one is perfect.

There are quite a few things I find myself insecure about. For example, my body since having Anakin. It definitely does not and will never look the same. It is something I occasionally beat myself up over, especially now that it's summer and I won't be caught dead in a bikini! But, I had to learn that, everyone has some kind of "issue". Even Beyonce, yes Beyonce! A simple google search will show that even Queen Bey has stretch mars. She is still amazing and beautiful, as are you and I.
So take a look in the mirror and single out things that you like about yourself.Give yourself little compliments like "Your skin looks very clear today". Try to add one thing a day until you have a love letter to yourself.
Realize that you are the best you
There is no one on this earth that is like you. Even identical twins had little differences! Since every one is different, there is no reason to compare yourself to anyone. By default, you are the best you that you can be. It's so much easier said than done, I know. But once you decide what is the best style, size, or hairstyle is for you and not society, you will be so much happier!
Personally, I was way into the "scene" style for a long time. It didn't make me feel very good about myself, there were countless times I looked at the purple stripes in my hair and thought I looked totally ugly. But it was the "thing" to do at the time. When I stopped dying my hair and wearing the ridiculous outfits and started wearing what I thought looked nice, I did get a huge rise in confidence. It defiantly showed in my life because I became a lot more outgoing and happy!

Realize that you have to eat better
In a previous post, I basically said soda was Satan in a can. Which it is, one of the side effects of the caffeine in soda is depression. Certain foods make you feel bad. But the good news is, there are plenty of foods that make you feel good, such as
- oranges
- tuna
- chocolate (holla!)
-carrots
- grapefruit

Realize that it's okay to take things one day at a time.
If you have self confidence issues, you're not just going to wake up one day feeling one hundred percent confident. It's very hard to have perfect self esteem all the time. Some days, your hair won't be shiny, a zit will be coming in and you'll have a presentation at work the next day. But taking things one step at a time will make things simpler. If not, you'll get a classic case of apathy, which is never good.

Realize that exercise will make you happy.
Exercise releases endorphins that make you happy, also the calories lost during exercise will eventually lead you to lose a bit of weight. Seeing how much your body can change in as little as a month is sure to give you self confidence as time goes by.

Realize that a daily mantra/affirmation will work wonders (Also I am a HUGE dork)
Giving yourself a daily positive thought will bring positive things your way. That's why most religions believe in the power of prayer. The daily affirmation I use is from my favorite television show. It reminds me that I am a powerful woman and nothing can change that
From now on, every girl in the world who might be a Slayer, will be a Slayer. Every girl who could have the power, will have the power. Can stand up, will stand up. Slayers, every one of us. Make your choice. Are you ready to be strong?
I don't usually say it aloud, because I really don't want to admit that after all this time, Buffy is still my main girl (; Here is a list of positive affirmations you can tell yourself everyday.
Also, I added some songs that will give you confidence too!
