Christmas Time.

It hasn't been as festive as I hoped this year. It's hard to be positive when it seems like you're surrounded in a world of terrible things. Everything from Tre's illness to the Sandy Hook tragedy, has made it hard to be happy. Yesterday, my family was able to shake some of it off and go see the big Christmas Tree at Town Square. Anakin was very afraid of all the lights, but he seemed to like it when it "snowed".

We're settling into our new house, so unpacking and decorating was pretty overwhelming. I slacked on both, of course. I'm really proud of everything I did manage to do though. I still think it's pretty funny that instead of getting a star for our tree, we got a Darth Vader. I hope Kinny keeps it forever!

I hope you and ours are having a great holiday season! Today, we went to my mother's house and Kinny got to open presents from my family. My sister got him a Darth Vader alarm clock, and my mom got him this dinosaur that came with a lot of balls. Anakin's favorite pillow pet is a dinosaur, so I think he will enjoy playing with his new toy.
