Baby, it's (Getting) Cold Outside

Even though I live in Las Vegas, I still have my fair share of Winter. It's only November, and we recieved our first frost of the season! It was even snowing in Spring Valley. Here's how to stay warm in Winter.

• Socks! Your feet are one of the thermal indicators for your body. Also, socks are cute. My favorite place to mix it up from the plain white socks is Old Navy.

• Baths! A warm bath after a hard day is a great way to relax your muscles after a long day. 








• Drink tea, hot chocolate, coffee, cider, whatever! It will make you feels so much warmer and slightly raise your body temperature. Tea has so many awesome benefits for you, so I would go for that. I love drinking chamomile tea at the end of a rough day. It's very calming and helps me drift into a warm and peaceful sleep  
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Dressing in Layers. This is probably the most important thing to do.The clothes act as an air insulator, keeping you warm and toasty all day. Above is how I dress in layers during the cold months

Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Eyeshadow Review

I have a cold :(

I have never been a creme eyeshadow kind of girl. For most of my makeup wearing years, I bought the same quad eyeshadow over and over again. Recently I purchased two Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo eyeshadows (what a mouthful!). It wasn't a major splurge. But it feels like it because they are very high quality. A lot of makeup says it will last all day, but rarely does. This does last me all day, it actually lasts until I take it off, so assuming it could go 24 hours is not crazy. 

Sometimes I apply it with my fingers, but a brush is used occasionally (;

I like to use them as a base for my eye shadow, but they also are versatile enough to wear as your eyeshadow. The two colors I own are Pomegranate punk and Bad To The Bronze. I chose these colors because I could use the separately or together, they are both perfect for Fall. The eye shadow blends very easily (but manages to not crease!) and I like that these colors give my eyelid an understated ombre effect. Which is good, because I'm way too chicken to ombre my hair! Have you tried Color Tattoo? If so, what's your favorite shade?

Fall Favorites

Much of this week has been dedicated to thunderstorms and comfort foods. Why? Because Fall is approaching! I live in Las Vegas so we don't exactly have a "Fall". But we do have about a solid two months of nice weather (then it gets to cold for me!) I am looking forward to so much this Fall, here is what I'm most excited for:

 Feeling warm in cute boots. I'm looking into a new pair, what do you think of these from LuLu's

 Watching planes take off (it's wayyyy to hot to do that now)

 Using these mugs that Tre and I made for each other. We plan on having a lot of hot chocolate and Apple Cider

Brunch at Blueberry Hill. If you're ever in Vegas, you need to eat here, it's great!
