My body has drastically changed since being pregnant. Today, I was so upset about it. Mostly because I had read this* post (which has now been heavily edited due to backlash from many people) I was considering deleting my blog because most "fashion" bloggers are really skinny (& not black). I felt like I was just making a fool of myself by blogging and I would never be good enough to amount to anything because of fifteen extra pounds.
But you know what? Feeling sorry for myself is not going to accomplish anything. You know what else? I need this weight to look like a woman. The last time I weighed 110 pounds (the weight I would be if I lost the fifteen pounds I was so upset about) was when I was seventeen. I am a few months shy of twenty one. I don't need to look like that anymore.
I've blogged on here about confidence before. Looking back at it made me realize the extra weight is not the problem. My self esteem is the problem. I am going to work on that. I won't be deleting my blog, because I know that people enjoy reading it and I like having a blog most of the time.
To be honest, I don't post as many outfit shots because I look bad in almost everything I own. That's not the low self esteem talking, that's my changed body type talking. I can't dress like someone that hasn't given birth before.
The content on here will be changing slightly. So stay tuned!
*That post has turned me off from that site for life by the way.
