I'm breaking up with Forever 21.
(x)
To me, shopping at Forever 21 is like crack. It's a quick high shopping there, but after awhile, everything will fall apart and you question every choice you've made in life. The last straw for me was sequin hot pants that I ordered online. I have worn these once, they are already ruined. At first, I wasn't very upset. I mean they were only twelve dollars, right?
Wrong.
How many tops have lost their shape after being washed once?
How many times have I purchased something that I knew was poorly made, but purchased it any way?
How many "skinny" jeans have bunched up at the knee? How many times have I purchased something that I knew was a cheap imitation of high fashion?
How many nail polishes have I purchased that never got used because the brush broke off upon opening?
How many times have I purchased something from a company I knew were religious bullies?
How many lotions have given me breakout after break out, but I continued purchasing them?
How many times have I worn my "Legalize LA" shirt, but still purchased items at a company I knew darn well treated immigrant workers horribly?
How many "tribal"shirts will it take for me to realize that this is not the place I need to be shopping at?
I can say to myself, "Well, it's only twelve dollars." But that would make me a hypocrite. I can say this repeatedly to myself, but that doesn't make it ok. I think I am addicted to Forever 21! There's like an angel (style) and a devil (fast fashion) on my shoulders and I am finally making the decision to start shopping at other places. I hope they give me lasting style, rather than looking like a mall rat. So F21, I just can't do this any more. I just can't keep poisoning my wardrobe full of total crap and justifying it as "Only twelve dollars."
Where do you like to shop? I'm looking for quality, not quantity. I am terribly guilty of having a closet full of nothing to wear.

What to do in Vegas (Part One)
I have lived in Las Vegas, Nevada for over ten years! Usually, that's not something to brag about. However, I hope this post serves as a city/fashion guide to Las Vegas. It really is a great place to visit and there are lots of fun things to do. Whenever I feel like I've done them all, I find like five more things to do.
I would like this to be an ongoing series, but it really depends on if people like it or not. I hope you guys like this!
A tulle skirt? Rabbit ears? Beleive it or not, On Fremont Street anything goes. This is old Las Vegas, and where our downtown (courthouse, business district ect). It's also known as "Vintage Vegas" because a lot of old movies that feature Las Vegas take place there such as Elvis Prestley's "Viva Las Vegas" and The Bond film "Diamonds are Forever."
You could slide on the shark tank water slide at the Golden Nugget, zipline down the street, and catch a cool show on the world's largest television. There are also lots of cool characters to meet like, Freddy Kruegar, a statue man, and even mermaids!
The Bellagio fountains are so beautiful. My favorite time to see them is on a summer night, that's why this outfit is very summery. The best time to view the fountains is at night, so if you can on;y see it once, that is the best time to go. The fountain's "dance" to various songs such as: Big Spender, Viva Las Vegas, Luck Be a Lady, and My Heart Will Go On. Once I think I heard He Had it Coming from the (awesome) movie Chicago.
Have you been to Las Vegas? What's your favorite thing to do?

Color Love: Mint!
I've been obsessed with mint green lately. It's a color that can look professional, when worn with black or grey. But it can also look quirky with hot pint or navy blue, How do you style mint?

Cinema Style: Heathers
Veronica (the great Winona Ryder) has joined up with the most popular clique, three girls that all happen to be named Heather. Veronica meets cool guy Jason Dean and they teach the popular kids a lesson. Let's just say...they frighten them into being better people (;
Heather Chandler, is your typical preppy mean girl. She wears a red scrunchie (sooo eighties!) to show that she is the leader of the group.
Heather Duke's signature color is green, until the she takes the place as Queen Bee. Then it is red, much to the horror of Veronica.
Finally, Heather Mcnamera is known to wear yellow, unless she is in her red and black cheerleading uniform. If you would like to see the movie, know that it may be triggering even if it is a black comedy...very black.
Here are a few outfits inspired by the girls.
